Protecting the environment is protecting ourselves

Hello dear judges, I’m Contestant No. …, And my topic today is “Protecting the environment is protecting ourselves”.

As we all know, the natural environment plays an important role in human survival and development. We always long to live in a place where the air is fresh, birds are singing happily, rivers are limpid......However, some others never stop trampling on our living environment.

There is a living example all around us today. A severe virus broke out in WuHan, China, and quickly spread across the country. It's a new coronavirus. Symptoms in people infected with the virus include coughing, burning sputum, even chest pain, coughing up blood, and breathing problems. The same goes for other countries, the United States, Canada and quite a few other countries have also reported their first cases.

The situation of this outbreak is not optimistic, and many people complain about human misery. But what is the cause of this outbreak? Affirming the result of human's relentless destruction of the ecological environment, CCTV reporters see many vendors selling wild animals, killing pheasants and rabbits in the HuBei seafood market. According to epidemiological analysis, the source of the new coronavirus is likely to be wild animals.

So, from where I stand, this outbreak is the result of humans eating venison. Human beings kill wild animals cruelly, so that wild animals began to revenge on human. Protecting the environment is protecting ourselves, on the other hand destroying the environment is destroying our homeland. I strongly appeal to human beings to stop the endless destruction of the environment!
