both与neither的用法区别

both与neither的用法区别

Both与neither都是同学们常会用到的两个字，也是出错频率非常高的两个词。

在表示两者都具备相同或相似性时，用both;在表示两者都不时，则用neither. 

e.g.

他们两人都喜欢打篮球。They both like to play basketball. = Both of them like to play basketball.

姐姐和弟弟都很外向。Both the sister and the brother are outgoing. = The sister and the brother are both outgoing. 

他们俩都不想来。Neither of them want to come. 

姐姐和弟弟都不会下棋。Neither the sister nor the brother can play chess. = The sister and brother can neither play chess.
